The Patterson building - Level 2 - is opening our doors for photographic and film shoots, exhibits, workshops and events. The space is available to hire for a variety of uses and offers amazing versatility.

Based in Smith Street, Fitzroy, Victoria.

We offer location/studio hire - separating the three main areas available at the below rates:

Gallery Space - White walls, wooden floorboards, high ceilings.

Half day (4hrs) $150
Full day (8hrs) $300

Large Studio Space - White walls, wooden floorboards, high ceilings, west facing large windows massive.
Half day (4hrs) $300
Full day (8hrs) $600

Patio
Half day (4hrs) $150

Please note:

• (Personal Work / Editorials / Student Rates) We can offer reduced rate - please inquire with all shoot details
• Overtime $50 per hour
• Please note all prices excludes GST
• Clean-Up - Whilst there will be no charge for cleaning on your shooting or event time slot, it is expected that your space will be left in the same condition as when you came in. Additional costs will be incurred if clean up is required by our staff.
• 50% deposit required at time of booking to secure your booking.
• Cancellation of studio bookings with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit deposit paid.

Cinematographer - The Skywhale - Patricia Piccinini

Sometimes I open my email to the most weird and wonderful job proposals. I was so thrilled to be asked by the team at Blue Bloat Studio to come on board to shoot video for the launch of  Patricia Piccinini's Skywhale.
We spent 4 days waking before the sun. Driving through the dark, looking for the perfect wind, perfect light, perfect location. We spent time at the beautiful Arapiles National Park, we camped in a farmers crop looking across a Salt Lake, we worked hard.

I'm very excited to share this music video for Dick Diver  - Calendar Days.

I worked with my sidekick Tim Hillier on creating this little clip. We shot it at Al Monfort's house in yarragon, Victoria. 

 

Golden Plains - 07 - Photo Highlights

Once again I have dusted the dirt off my camera and put away my head torch for another year. Golden Plains 07 was my 10th year shooting down at the glorious Meredith Amphitheater and it was unsurprisingly full of adventure and misadventure, dust and rain, pies and energy drinks. But most of all memorable music experiences and photo taking.
