In Ode To Banjo

A few weeks ago I was asked by Somewhere Gallery to contribute a photograph as part of their "Besties" Exhibit, a fundraiser for the lost dogs home. Obviously I was very enthusiastic about this project as I love our four legged friends. Our cats Laverne & Banjo also showed their support.. although not so enthusiastic about the dog element.
After looking through my archives I decided I would need to shoot something specifically for the show.

So with the help of Emma Freeman (paper-mâché expert) we made a paper-mâché cats head and went on a road adventure to Daylesford. Below are the final results.

Two days after this shoot we woke to a text message about Banjo. The message was from a friend who had never meet Banjo but had seen many photos of him on FaceBook. The message was pleading and hoping that we were not missing our cat and that he was safe at home because there was a beautiful Burmese in the gutter. Sadly Banjo wasn't safe at home, he was on his night time adventures but that morning he never came home.

So Banjo, I didn't intend to-do a whole photo-shoot in ode to you but I guess I have now. I'm sure you would love the attention and I hope you think it's glamorous, loving, beautiful, soft and dreamy just like you.
